The forum entries make it seem like it should be almost plug & play (either control surface), so I'm assuming there's something simple I've overlooked.Īny suggestions? I appreciate any help. I've updated every driver (BCF2000 and Shuttle Pro v2 and Saffire), downloaded everything I can see that seems relevant, and am completely stuck. I have Pro Tools 11.0.2 installed, which works fine, but is maybe hijacking access to the MIDI/USB channels somehow (it's not running, but it's still installed)? I'm using Saffire Pro & OctoPre pre-amps, which is probably irrelevant. I'm running a new, loaded iMac, OSX 10.8.5. shuttlesettings file from Contour, Reaper v3) and the Shuttle Pro software doesn't want to install either template. pref file that should install Reaper layout and key assignments is, and I've downloaded that (as well as the. I just bought a Shuttle Pro to see if I could get that to work, it seems like the perfect thing (I'd rather stick with the BCF2000 and save $90, but I'm willing to be flexible). There has got to be some obvious basic setting somewhere that I'm overlooking - maybe in OSX (although I've tried tweaking my Yamaha USB-MIDI settings, which is the only MIDI thing I can see in System Preferences, installed when I got my MOX8). I've tried every preset on the BCF2000 (HUI, both Mackies, etc) and have tried every combination of mode under Control Surfaces (also in Prefs - I'm using offset 0 and offset +1, same dead air). I've turned on & off each MIDI device under MIDI Devices (Prefs), changed from off to Control Only to Enabled + Control, all with no luck. I've read every entry in the forum that I can find, and have trawled Google, with no luck. I can't get Reaper to even acknowledge that the BCF2000 exists. I mainly use it to start & stop recording from my drumset, I'm not trying to do anything very impressive. I had been using the BCF2000 via USB with Pro Tools with no difficulty. I'm a drummer, so admittedly not too bright. Hi - Brand new user, trying eval version with hopes of switching over to Reaper from Pro Tools.
